Description: The Bereavement Support is a nine week course for anyone who has experienced the death of a loved one. You can meet in a safe place with others who understand how you are feeling and who are experiencing the same phases of grief. It is a place where everyone can share their stories of their loved one. This support group also helps to support people on their path of acceptance and balanced life.

Description: New mothers can benefit from the network of friends and the discussion topics presented during the breastfeeding support group meetings. The support group is facilitated by our lactation expert. During the meetings, you can share your experiences with other mothers and discuss specific topics of interest. Children are welcome.

Description: The mission of Adult Loss of Hearing Support Group (ALOHA) is to provide a support system for individuals with an acquired deafness and/or hearing loss and their families. ALOHA also offers peer support, advocacy, information and training for individuals with a hearing loss, which will enable them to improve their quality of life. During the meetings, you can share experiences and discuss specific topics of interest.

 

Stroke & Brain Injury Support Group

Description: If you or a loved one has suffered a stroke or brain injury, you are not alone in the recovery process. Our Rehabilitation Services post-stroke program can help by providing a variety of strategies. Through physical, speech, and occupational therapies, we can assist you to
regain your quality of life.

The Stroke and Brain Injury Support Group is free and open to anyone who has experienced a stroke as well as their caregivers, family, or friends. The support group provides comfort during the recovery process. Guest speakers and members of the Rehabilitation Services staff target specific topics in the recovery process. No reservations are required to attend.
