The World Health Organization estimates that approximately 1 million people die each year from suicide. Often times a suicidal person is in so much pain that they cannot see any other way out and although they may not ask for help, that does not mean they do not want it. Suicide prevention starts with recognizing the warning signs and taking them seriously. By talking openly about suicidal thoughts and feelings you may help save someone’s life. Join Jonathan Rutherford, Director of Behavioral Health at CVMC to learn about what to watch for and how you can help.
