From accurately entering your information to upholding confidentiality and HIPAA guidelines closely, we take pride in making your first contact with our hospital, a pleasant and smooth one.
Our Patient Access Services staff is well on their way to becoming entirely professionally certified. Our team members are completing and passing the very challenging exam to become Certified Healthcare Access Associates (CHAA). The National Association of Healthcare Access Management (NAHAM) who sponsors this certification has established competency levels in the field of access services for “line staff” professionals. The knowledge base tested includes administration and regulations, billing, insurance, and financial information, medical records, patient rights and responsibilities, communication, patient satisfaction, customer service, laws and regulations affecting patient services, HCFA regulations, HIPAA, JCAHO, and medical necessity.
