Quality Heart Care, Close to Home
The Cardiac Rehab Department at Canyon Vista Medical Center offers trained professionals who will assist, observe, and educate patients while they begin their program. Most patients spend 6-8 weeks attending sessions three times a week following an initial evaluation. Patients are then encouraged to develop a home maintenance program. Patients need a doctor’s referral following a cardiac event (cardiac catheterization, surgery, etc.), and must have a stress test or echocardiogram completed prior to starting the program.
Canyon Vista Medical Center’s Cardiac Rehab Program can help you:
-
-
- Understand risk factors for heart disease and how to reduce them
- Improve the ability to cope with stress
- Lower blood pressure
- Understand medications
- Strengthen the heart and cardiovascular system
- Gain a great sense of well-being and confidence
- Improve physical activity
