Help for Heroes®
What Is Help for Heroes®?
Help for Heroes® is a national network of specialized treatment programs delivering trauma-informed, evidence-based care for military, veteran and first responder populations across the country. The program provides treatment for mental health and co-occurring substance use disorders in an environment designed to support the unique needs of those who serve.
Participants receive individualized care, evidence-based treatment and support from professionals who understand the demands of service-oriented careers. The goal is to help individuals build healthy coping strategies, improve overall well-being and move forward in recovery.
Outpatient Treatment
We offer a number of services through outpatient care, including military PTSD treatment for service members, individuals who are struggling with co-occurring disorders and other mental health concerns. In treatment, you’ll have the chance to talk about topics like grief and loss, complex trauma, isolation, and suicidal thoughts. If outpatient services are right for you, you may be recommended for our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), providing skill-building and problem-solving therapy, peer-to-peer support, and medication management when needed.
From the beginning of your care, we’ll help you make plans for the next step in your recovery, whether that’s continuing from our inpatient to outpatient treatment or by connecting you to other providers of care.
