Canyon Vista Medical Center offers cryoablation, a minimally invasive, image-guided procedure used to treat certain types of cancer. Cryoablation uses extreme cold to destroy targeted tissue while helping minimize damage to surrounding healthy tissue.

Performed by the interventional radiology team, the procedure uses imaging guidance to precisely target treatment areas through a small incision. Depending on a patient's diagnosis and treatment plan, cryoablation may be used to treat certain tumors and can provide an alternative to more invasive surgical procedures for eligible patients.

For some individuals, cryoablation may offer a shorter recovery time and the possibility of returning home the same day. Not all patients are candidates for cryoablation, and a physician will determine whether this treatment option may be appropriate based on each patient's unique needs.
