What's New for 2027?

To better align our community investments with the communities we serve, Canyon Vista Medical Center has updated its charitable giving and sponsorship program.

Focus on Local Reach

Additional consideration may be given to requests that provide meaningful visibility and engagement within our primary service areas:

• Sierra Vista
• Douglas
• Fort Huachuca

Organizations will be asked to identify the communities they serve and estimate their audience reach.

Updated Funding Priorities

Priority consideration will be given to organizations and events that support:

• Healthcare and medical initiatives
• Healthcare career development programs
• Youth and adult sports organizations
• Wellness and fitness initiatives
• Youth-serving organizations
• Community events
  

In-Kind Support Opportunities

In some cases, organizations may be offered an in-kind donation instead of monetary funding. In-kind support may include promotional items, health education materials, event participation, or other resources that support community outreach efforts.

Increased Focus on Sponsorship Benefits

Organizations will be asked to identify available sponsorship benefits, such as:

• Logo placement
• Event booths or vendor tables
• Social media recognition
• Printed promotional materials
• Event announcements
• Other marketing opportunities

These opportunities help expand awareness of local healthcare services and strengthen community outreach efforts. Sponsorship opportunities may also be supported through Canyon Vista Medical Group specialty practices when appropriate. For example, sports-related organizations may align with Canyon Vista Medical Group Orthopedics & Sports Medicine.

Eligibility

Only 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, 501(c)(4) social welfare organizations, and 501(c)(6) business leagues will be considered for charitable contributions, sponsorships, volunteer support, or in-kind donations.

Priority may also be given to organizations where Canyon Vista Medical Center or Canyon Vista Medical Group employees serve as board members, committee members, event leaders, or active volunteers.

Exclusions

The following requests generally will not be considered:

• Requests from religious organizations for sectarian purposes; however, community programs sponsored by religious organizations may be considered.
• Organizations that discriminate on the basis of age, sex, race, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, or disability with respect to employment, volunteer participation, or the provision of services.
• Capital campaigns or activities that do not advance our community health mission.

Applicants should be prepared to provide:

• Organization information
• Sponsorship amount requested
• Description of the event, program, or project
• Communities served
• Estimated audience reach
• Sponsorship recognition opportunities
• In-kind donation needs, if applicable

2. Review Important Dates

• November 1, 2026: Application period opens
• December 28, 2026: Application deadline
• February 15, 2027: Organizations notified by

3. Reminders

• Submit one application per organization per calendar year.
• Multiple sponsorships or events may be requested on a single application.
• Supporting documentation may be submitted by email.
• Incomplete applications will not be considered.
