Canyon Vista Medical Center (CVMC) is pleased to announce that Abby Alvarez, PA-C, has joined Sierra Vista Medical Group – Orthopedics. Abby is a certified Physician Assistant with more than a decade of experience in orthopedic care and surgery. She is now seeing patients, ages 12 and older, for a wide range of musculoskeletal concerns.

Abby earned her Master of Physician Assistant degree from Augusta University (formerly the Medical College of Georgia) and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Kentucky. She is board-certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and has served in a variety of clinical and hospital settings across the Southeast.

Most recently, Abby provided orthopedic care at Hughston Clinic in Georgia, where she worked alongside surgeons specializing in total knee and hip replacements. Her background also includes experience in cardiovascular surgery, inpatient management, surgical assisting, and outpatient care—bringing a well-rounded skill set to the Cochise County community.
