Canyon Vista Medical Center (CVMC) is proud to announce that its Advanced Wound Care Center has been recognized with five national awards from Healogics®, the nation’s largest provider of advanced wound care services. Benchmarked against 650 clinics nationwide, the center received the Center of Distinction, Robert A. Warriner III, M.D. Clinical Excellence Award, President’s Circle Award, and the 2024 Center of the Year Award—Healogics’ highest honor.
These awards reflect exceptional performance in key clinical and operational areas, including high patient satisfaction, exceptional healing outcomes, and a commitment to best practices in wound care.
“We are incredibly proud of our Wound Care team,” said Scott Avery, Interim Chief Executive Officer at Canyon Vista Medical Center. “These awards are a testament to the skill, dedication, and compassion our providers and staff demonstrate every day. Their work has a meaningful impact on the lives of our patients and reflects our mission to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care to our community.”
To qualify for these honors, the Wound Care Center achieved exceptional outcomes for 12 consecutive months, including:
- Patient satisfaction scores higher than 92%
- Clinical excellence in wound healing rates
- Operational benchmarks across a broad range of quality metrics
“It’s an honor to serve patients alongside such an exceptional team,” said Rebekah Ostrander, Program Director of the Wound Care Center. “We are committed to providing advanced treatment and personalized care to help every patient achieve the best possible outcome. And we are extremely proud to have a patient satisfaction score of 96.4% and a wound healing rate of 97%.”
The Canyon Vista Medical Center Wound Care Center is a member of the Healogics network of 650 Wound Care Centers® nationwide. It offers specialized treatment for patients suffering from chronic and non-healing wounds, including diabetic foot ulcers, pressure ulcers, infections, and more. Treatment options include negative pressure wound therapy, total contact casting, bio-engineered tissue applications, biosynthetic dressings, and growth factor therapies. The Center also offers hyperbaric oxygen therapy, which promotes healing by delivering 100% oxygen under pressure to oxygen-deprived tissues. In addition to wound care, hyperbaric chambers can also be used as a treatment option for conditions such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), providing an innovative approach to support mental health and neurological recovery.
“To receive one prestigious award is an honor, but to earn several is a reflection of unmatched dedication, talent, and unity. Each accolade is a testament to our collective brilliance and unwavering commitment to excellence,” said Roberto Molina, MD, Medical Director of Advanced Wound Care & Hyperbaric Medicine. “This achievement isn't just about the awards—it's about the passion, vision, and teamwork that made them possible. Congratulations to the entire team!”
